Trenary Home Bakery was founded in 1928, and has been a big part of Upper Michigan's culture for over 90 years. To honor the history of the bakery and those who love it, we are starting a blog series that will explore the history of the bakery.
This will series will encompass a wide variety of subjects related to the bakery, including equipment used, recipes, employees, stories from customers, etc..

My husbands great grandfather settled in Trenary in the late 1800s. His grandfather Henry VanHala was one of 11 children. I love the Trenary toast especially raisin and cinnamon! Would order more if not so expensive for shipping. We have family cottage in Cedarvile Mi in the Les Cheanux area!
Love Trenary Toast!! My parents grew up in the Rapid River and Stonington area, they always had it in the pantry, and was an afternoon treat! It will be fun to see your future posts!!
